DC Noles give $5,500 to FSU Foundation
Thanks to your support and generous contributions at #DoakInDC, the DC Noles presented a $5,500 check to the FSU Foundation at the FSU Celebrates Veterans event on Thursday, May 17, at the National Press Club. The DC Noles gave $2,500 to the Veterans Center, $2,000 toward the FSU CARE program, and a $1,000 scholarship to a student coming to Washington, DC, for a summer internship. This would not be possible without your help!
The event featured NBC’s Chuck Todd, moderator of “Meet the Press,” life changing testimonials from student veterans, and Director of FSU’s Student Veterans Center (ret.) Colonel William Francis.
Veterans were instrumental to Florida State University’s transformation from a women’s college to a coed university, and that heritage endures today through our ongoing support of student veterans.
Since 2011, our veterans and graduation rates have increased more than 30 percent above the national ranking, making FSU a top tier, nationally ranked veteran-friendly school.
